There certainly used to be a firm that operated locally that put people with spare rooms in touch with students but I think they specialised in post-grads and medical students. A friend of mine used them and I'll ask her if she has their details when she returns from holiday. Have to say though I think it is a long shot - most families would be hesitant to take in a 16 year old. Don't the ArtsEd have some sort of programme to help you?
