| My mother, who has dementia, has been in care home for 4 months; she was previously in sheltered. She is not settling in to care home environment at all as she is very independent woman and is aware of environment she is in. She needs help with all aspects of her care and is now struggling to stand up. I am considering bringing her to my home but could only do it if she had carers providing all care in the home as I work and am out a lot. I would also have to move as there is no room in current flat. Would anyone know which local authority around Chiswick is the most supportive and/or have any other advice? |
