" As opposed to the electronic roadside message boards of which there are about eight million around west London at the moment?  The problem is that there are so many road closures and temporary restrictions in a smallish area that you can't concentrate on the road and read them all safely - it needed some kind of co-ordinated plan long before all these overlapping closures got approved. I had to drive today as I was going somewhere not easily reached by public transport I'd normally avoid, and it was extremely busy and congested out there, so the best advice remains 'don't drive'.  It'll be a relief to get back on the bike later.
