Thank you for your enquiry and feedback regarding traffic management in the local area during the essential works to Hogarth flyover.
At times when we are working over the carriageway we need to close lanes on the roundabout to provide a safe working area and to allow materials to be transported. This is to ensure the safety of the travelling public and these closures are in place at night time when traffic levels are lower to help minimise congestion in the local area as much as possible.
During the upcoming craning to install the new deck panels which commences this Wednesday 6 August for five nights, three cranes will be working across the structure from three locations: the inner roundabout; on the carriageway at the north east verge and on the carriageway at the A316 southbound exit near Boston Gardens. During this time traffic management will be in place to facilitate traffic movement around the roundabout and marshals will be available to assist local residents accessing Boston Gardens and Langham Place. To begin with two lanes on the roundabout will be closed overnight to allow for the crane works. As soon as possible this will be reduced to one lane as we work across the structure to help alleviate congestion around the roundabout and from the A316 approach.
Following the craning work which will be completed on the night of Monday 11 August, there are no planned lane closures on the roundabout until we remove the scaffolding in September at which time the flyover will be reopened.
The site office opposite Dorchester Gve is now open between 8 am until 5 pm on Monday - Friday and until 7 pm on Thursdays and staff are available to answer any queries from the local residents and the wider community. The Conway-Aecom Resident Liaison Officer is also available on 07467339780 during these times. We are visiting local residents and businesses in the area and will continue to do so as the works progress. However, the TfL Customer Services helpline can be reached at all times on 0343221234 or via tfl.gov.uk/contact to address and notify of any matters including those relating to traffic. Should any urgent queries arise TfL Customer Services is in direct contact with the site office to resolve any matters as soon as possible.
