| John The evidence is available in abundance from previous postings by some of his party colleagues on this forum and on TW8.com. Use the search facility - surely I don't need to tell you of all people how to conduct an investigation? Theo's project is not about enabling scrutiny and challenge by a handful of fellow politicians from what remains of the opposition party, but by the community - the "end user" of the Council's "service" as it were. One of this administration's more vociferous supporters recently expressed the view on this forum that, in the absence of a serious opposition party on the Council, the most potent opposition over the next four years is likely to come from without, in particular from the ICG and other residents' groups such as G15+. As well as revealing a mindset which automatically considers residents' groups to be an "opposition", this may give Theo some measure of the scale of the task he faces as he sets about trying to build a more community-focused Council. |
