| Francis, I think your conclusions about which roads will be close are correct. The only question is will the A4 be shut at Hogarth Roundabout allowing traffic up Chiswick Lane or at Chiswick Roundabout. I haven't seen any diversion signs recently though I haven't driven much recently. Ian Wylie posted earlier that the elite race passed through last time at about 1.20pm. There are no riders in the race that the general public will have heard of but it is a quality field nonetheless. It is a tragedy for the organisers that all of the better known British riders are unavailable. The traffic chaos will be enormous on Sunday. I would anticipate it would be pointless trying to drive or catch a bus anywhere in the Chiswick area between 8am and 5pm on the day. |
