As for competition and de-regulation, so far I don't see any of the previous experiments being a roaring success. Competition usually lands up with all the privateers setting up a cartel and agreeing among themselves how much to rip us off for. De-regulation is just another excuse for sub standard and dubious practises, fact is where money and profits are concerned big outfits cannot be trusted to do what is in the public interest. |
