The football overkill has really put me off anything to do with sport.  Now these games are following the same course - they've taken over every single channel - unless you want to watch repeats of old old series, there is NOTHING to see or listen to on the TV for me.  Normally I'd be watching some of the events but not this time around, I've had it.   End of rant.    Not sure I agree about newspaper coverage - the Telegraph Sports section has had pages and pages devoted to the Commonwealth Games.

On the subject of TV Sport, I'd like to see more Test Cricket and fuller coverage of Formula One.   I really looked forward to those programmes last season; an excellent team of knowledgeable presenters and I learnt a lot about this sport,  now we've been cut back to highlights only apart from a handful of full length live showings.   Also miss the full coverage of the International Rugby.   In order to see any of these sports, forget the BBC you have to buy into Sky - not an option where I live.
