| Have just spoken again to National Grid. They said they had not got back to me, as promised on Wednesday, as there is no update on their system with the detailed info I requested. All they have is as previously stated and evident on the signs - that Acton Lane will be closed at the junction of Bollo Lane from tomorrow (Saturday) for approx 10 days. They suggested I contact Ealing Council, saying they would have more detailed info having allowed the plans - even though these are gas works. So I've just spoken to a lady at Ealing Council with reference to the works as outlined on the weekly council street works schedule, which details a closure of Acton Lane "Opposite Chiswick Park". She said her computer showed the works as starting on August 20 until Sept 4 but had no other details of the closure or explanation / confirmation re the change of dates. Adding that perhaps I should call National Grid for the info... |
