Well, it's a bit late now as it closes on 2 August. However, here goes..... I thought that the dysfunctional family aspect which dominated the first half hour was reasonably well drawn, but it seemed to have little relevance to the action which took place later on. The whole premise of the "re-exploitation of the colonies" in the modern era (something to do with using DDT and other chemicals to assist the Kenyan flower industry) was very clunkily expounded and, finally, the explosive denouement and violence was quite gratuitous. |
