Driving to work this morning I was pleasantly surprised to see a Council ‘litter picker’ meticulously and religiously picking up every scrap of paper, cardboard etc from pavements and gutters. And a damn good job he was doing too! HOWEVER, the black bags (some torn apart by fox, cats etc) and the plastics recycling had not yet been collected.. One can only wonder at the quality of the managers employed to manage and co-ordinate the street cleaning and waste collections. Has it not occurred to them that, knowing full well that after the black bags have been collected and the plastics and recycling collected, the streets are normally strewn with the aftermath. Is it so terribly difficult to co-ordinate and plan professionally? |
