Claire D your story doesn't surprise me - the representative from Goddards recommended using just *one* man to do our removals on the grounds it would be cheaper (I had not remotely indicated I wanted that kind of cost cutting measure).  He reckoned one man could move all our stuff (which included large items like an antique chesterfield, two double beds and a huge antique mirror) safely up and down stairs.  I thought it was a ridiculous suggestion, and along with his unimpressive attitude that decided me in favour of Economic Moves - definitely the right decision!
