| Gardener Schools Group - School Financial Bursar Reporting Line Manager: Group Finance Manager Main Location: Kew House School Annex, TW8 0FJ Other locations: Visit other school sites as operated by the Group Start Date: August 2022 Hours: 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday Holiday: Initially 20 days Salary: Competitive depending on experience Summary An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Bursar/Accountant to join a group of Independent Schools based in West and North West London. We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute candidate to be part of a Finance Team with finance-related bursarial duties for two of the schools within the Group. This role will report to the Group Finance Manager. Ideally ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, you will possess strong technical financial and management accounting skills, be a self-starter and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be pro-active and have proven experience in management accountancy and desirably (but not essential) working for an independent school. While the successful candidate will be supported by a Purchase Ledger team, you should be able to, and be prepared to undertake all areas of Finance including purchase invoice entry, bank reconciliations, sales invoice generation and importantly be prepared to speak to Parents for collection of fees. Experience in the education sector, particularly the Independent Sector, will help the successful candidate with the structure and financial reporting requirements of the Schools. Strong IT skills in Management Information Systems and Accounting software are essential and experience and knowledge of Sage 200 experience, iSAMS, and advanced Excel skills are desirable but not essential.
