| Community Research and Talks Organiser Chiswick Pier Trust is a registered Charity created by the London Borough of Hounslow some 25 years ago to encourage residents to enjoy and learn about The Thames which borders one side of The Borough. The post in a new one and the responsibilities will be spilt into two parts:- From September to May the successful applicant will be responsible for our programme of Talks on The Thames which are currently delivered as webinars, recorded and streamed. They can be viewed on our website (www.chiswickpier.org.uk) as can additional information on our current activities. This part of the post will involve researching, recommending and running the talks which are currently on-line. Support is provided though staff employed by The Trust. The second part will involve the job holder in identifying community groups and organisations within the Borough of Hounslow which The Trustees could approach to see where we might work together to meet mutual aims. A specific project plan will be discussed and agreed with the job holder on their appointment. We anticipate these activities will take up to 15 hours a month which can be timed to suit the job holder within their other work and family commitments. The job holder will be part of the committee which is chaired by one of the Trustees and will report to that Trustee in a line management capacity. Applicants should have experience of social media, community research, presentation skills and an ability to work within an environment where self-management is essential. Currently the hourly rate of pay for this post equates to c£300 per month. A standard contract of employment will be offered with an annual pay review in April each year given completion of a satisfactory probation period of six months.
